A 14-inch tall bear made of antique white mohair. This bear has five joints, antique shoe button eyes, and embroidered features. The mohair fabric was salvaged from an antique child’s coat that was far too damaged to be restored. His paw pads are made from the coat’s lining. The shoe buttons came from a “button jar” and had been removed from their shoes by a previous owner at some time in the past. The bear is stuffed with organic cotton stuffing. This bear was made using traditional construction methods and materials, but it is not an exact reproduction of a particular antique. It is my own design, which has been inspired and influenced by the characteristics of several different antique bears in my personal collection. Available in a limited edition of 10.
