Handmade Soap   (click on photo to enlarge) Handmade Lye Soap Big plain bars of long lasting, creamy, luscious soap. I make all of my soap in single batches, using all vegetable oils and herbs. My soap cures for six weeks before I cut it into a dozen bars and wrap it in cellophane bags. Bars are approximately 3 ½ x 2 ½ x 1 inches (if I cut straight) and weigh from 7 to 8 ounces. I only make soap during the summer and early fall.
