| One of a kind creations fashioned from small antique boxes and vintage clamps. Each box has been grain painted. Some of them have sliding lids embellished with additional decorative painting. Others have pincushion tops made of cross stitched linen or theorem painted velvet and filled either with sawdust or emery. The clamp allows you to secure your box to a table top and also functions as a “sewing bird” or “third hand” which is extremely useful when hand sewing longer seams. The interior of the box is the perfect place to store all of your hand sewing tools (small scissors, spools of thread, beeswax, thread winders, thimbles etc.) so that they are readily available as you sew. |

Theorem Painted Velvet Box
11 x 8 x 5 inch sewing box with the top pinchusion covered in theorem-painted white cotton velvet. The sides and bottom of the box have been grain painted. The interior is lined with a reproduction cotton print and includes a small pincushion made of antique red cotton velvet. The box is made from an antique food storage container and a vintage clamp, along with some new materials.
